It really did start in a kitchen.
The first jars of Pecola were poured between dinner and the dishes. Kendra was tired of reading labels she could not understand, so she learned to make her own teas, butters and oils, one small batch at a time, testing each on family before anyone else.
Friends asked for jars. Then friends of friends. Pecola grew slowly, on purpose, because a thing made with care cannot be rushed. We still make every product the same way we did on that first night. Small, honest, and by hand.
